Getting ready for 2030: decentralized creative businesses in the content industry
Either small or big businesses will need to be prepared for a disruptive u-turn paradigm
I’ve been silent for the past few months because I have been focused on planning for the future. The world of crypto and Web3 is moving at an incredibly fast pace, and it is difficult to keep up with the latest developments if one is working in a traditional way. Therefore, I have decided to embrace technology and collaborate with an artificial intelligence in order to stay on the cutting edge of this rapidly-evolving industry to serve quality content in a most fluent way. I am now ready to share my thoughts and ideas with the community as a co-writer and AI curator (I write half, she writes half, I conduct the philharmonic orchestra), and I look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and collaborations with you all.
Let’s the music starts…
The rise -and fall, of cryptocurrencies and Web 3 technologies has opened up new opportunities for industries that create and distribute content. By incorporating these technologies into their business models, companies can create new and innovative ways to monetize their content and connect with their audience.
Adopt blockchain technology to enable decentralized operations and transactions
Explore decentralized governance models to empower employees and stakeholders
One way for an industry creating content to embrace crypto and Web 3 is through the use of blockchain-based platforms. These platforms can be used to directly connect creators with their audience, allowing them to share their content and earn cryptocurrency in return. This model cuts out the middlemen, such as distributors and publishers, and gives creators more control over their work and the ability to earn a higher percentage of the profits.
Utilize smart contracts to automate business processes and reduce reliance on intermediaries
Invest in decentralized infrastructure, such as decentralized storage and computing, to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Another way to incorporate crypto and Web 3 is through the use of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). NFTs are unique digital assets that can represent ownership of a specific piece of content or other creative work. By using NFTs, companies can offer their audience the ability to own and trade unique digital copies of their content. This creates new revenue streams for creators and allows fans to own a unique piece of their favorite content.
Collaborate with other businesses and industry leaders to drive adoption of decentralized technologies and practices
Educate employees and customers about the benefits of decentralization and how it can improve the business
In addition to these specific applications, the content industry can also benefit from the broader adoption of crypto and Web 3 technologies. For example, using cryptocurrency for payments and transactions can provide creators with faster and cheaper access to their earnings. Web 3 technologies, such as decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, can also offer new ways for creators to manage and invest their money.
Monitor and adapt to industry trends and developments in order to remain competitive in the rapidly-evolving decentralized landscape.
Overall, the content industry has a lot to gain from embracing crypto and Web 3. By using blockchain-based platforms and NFTs, creators can connect directly with their audience and create new revenue streams. And by adopting crypto and Web 3 technologies more broadly, the industry can benefit from the speed, security, and efficiency of these innovations.

Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the DESTINO subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
